8 Costco Healthy Snacks For A Fit And Delicious Diet


Costco is the shit, i’m fairly sure that’s universally agreed upon. From their great benefits they offer their employees to the sweet products they sell in their store, the place really is disneyland for grown adults. Additionally, if you’re an aspiring fit bro/broette, you know its one of the best places to go to supplement (heheh, no pun intended) your diet choices. There are a surprising number of costco healthy snacks, so i thought i’d put together a list of some of my favorite:

My Favorite Costco Healthy Snacks

1. Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes


Omg. These things are ridiculously good. Not to mention the macros are absolutely killer for a pancake, with 14g of protein, ~25g carbs, and minimal fat per 1/2cup serving. You can up the protein even more by adding an egg to the batter, but I usually just mix the batter with water and consume. I also like to undercook the pancake slightly, because it gives it a very slightly gooey texture which I absolutely love (Although I recognize this texture isn’t for everyone, I love the gooey-goodness).

Obviously just eating straight pancakes might be a little bland for you, so i HIGHLY recommend investing in some dope-ass blueberries, bananas, or sliced strawberries, as well as……

2. PBFit Peanut Butter Powder


This stuff is ungodly. If you’re anything like me, you love peanut butter. It’s the nectar of the gods. Unfortunately, and despite great nutrition, it has a LOT of calories– 200 per 2Tbsp serving. If you’re trying to gain weight that’s awesome, you’ll probably eat a lot of it! If you’re trying to cut weight, it’s a different story.

In comes PbFit (same stuff as PB2, really). It’s powdered peanut butter with the fat removed. Wait….fat removed? Sounds terrible you say. I agree, fat is the macro that makes the world go-round. However, this stuff TASTES AMAZING. Seriously it tastes so close to the real stuff, and 2Tbsp of it is only 50 calories, with 6g of protein. Albeit each serving does have 3g of sugar, but if you’re worried about 3g of sugar in your peanut butter powder i’m guessing your priorities are whacked anyway.

These things are awesome. The normal costco pack comes in two flavors: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Chocolate Brownie. Both flavors are equally awesome and delicious, they actually taste REALLY similar to quest bars (which are basically held as the de-facto standard for protein bars in terms of ingredients and taste).

Each bar packs 21g protein and 15g fiber! I’ve had some people say eating them is kind of like chewing through concrete, and i’ll concede they are a little tough textured, but nothing 10 seconds in the microwave cant fix! Grab one of these next time the sweet tooth takes over and you’ll find yourself feeling pretty satisfied.

4. kirkland signature almond butter


While it packs a lot more calories than pbfit, this stuff is the real deal. When you look at the ingredients of something and the list says “roasted almonds” without anything else, you can be pretty sure you’re getting something fairly high quality. This almond butter is delicious and has a great serving of protein to go along with its high concentration of monounsaturated fat.

5. Oberto Teriyaki Beef/Turkey Jerky 2-pack


Who doesn’t love jerky? My only issue with it is paying 7 dollars for 3oz of the stuff (if you’re like me 3oz practically disappears once you open it). Costco to the rescue–this 2 pack nets you EIGHTEEN ounces for something around ~12 bucks, and it tastes phenomenal. Yeah there is a BIT of added sugar per serving, but this is a healthy “junk food” list, what did you expect?

6. Skinny Pop Popcorn


Ever felt the need to eat a midget sized bag of something? Me too. Skinny Pop Popcorn never fails to disappoint. While the flavor is undeniably mild, the best thing about this popcorn is only has 35 calories per freaking cup. Feel free to gorge yourself on virtually an entire bag of this while still hitting your macros/calories for the day.

If there is anything that satiaties my need to snack, it’s this stuff.

7. Kirkland Signature Steak Strips


Another jerky family alternative from the great nation of Costco. The reason these strips are so damn good is because they aren’t quite COMPLETELY dried like most jerky, the maintain a certain level of moisture that makes them incredibly chewy and delicious. While this does mean you have to refrigerate the bag after you open it if you want it to stay fresh, I think that’s a small price to pay for some fantastic, high-protein jerky. Let’s be honest, you’ll probably demolish the entire bag in one sitting anyway.

8. Goodfoods Chunky Guacamole Cups



Not quite as much of a healthy “junk food”, but deserves a mention on this list because I:
A. Love guacamole and all things avocado
B. it’s convenient AF because you don’t have to prepare it

Seriously, this is some good guac. It features the perfect ratio of chunky/mushy, which is a key component in a well crafted guacamole.

Well, there you have it. 8 of the best costco healthy snacks. Not only can you fit these into your diet SUPER easily, you get to eat like a king while doing so because all of them taste ridiculously amazing.
